Mansfield Township is a civil township of Iron County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 243 at the 2000 census.  Area: 107.7 mi² (99.3 mi² Land / 8.4 mi² Water).  Local time zone is on Central Stand Time (CST). Mansfield Township is the home of the Michigamme Reservoir in Iron County, Michigan.  The reservoir size is 6,400 acres. There are walleyes, white suckers, northern pikes, yellow perch, black crappie, Bluegill, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, and brook trout.

COVID-19 NOTICE #1 Until further notice, Mansfield Township Hall will not be open to the public due to Governor Whitmer’s “Stay Home Order”, EO 2020-20201 issued Monday, March 23, 2020, in reference to COVID-19.  Our elected officials will continue working in order to perform necessary government activities. If you haven’t received a form you can respond by phone at 844-330-2020. Thank you for your support, Athur Bloomburg, Clerk, June 24, 2020 For 2019, the last day to pay 2019 property taxes without incurring any penalty (or interest for deferred summer taxes) is Friday, February 14, 2020.  Office hours from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at 421 Old 69 Road, Crystal Falls, MI  49920 or call for directions at 906-875-6150.  (MCL 211.44) For 2019, the last day to pay 2019 property taxes before they are returned as delinquent is Monday, March 2, 2020. (February 29th is on a Saturday).  Office hours on March 2nd will be from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at 421 Old 69 Road, Crystal Falls, MI 49920 or call 906-875-6150 for directions.  (MCL 211.78a)
